Rejoice Mi fans: Xiaomi to soon launch new Redmi smartphone in India!

The company took to Twitter to tease an upcoming Redmi smartphone launch in the country.

After introducing the Redmi 4A in India, Xiaomi has teased the launch of a new Redmi smartphone, which could be the Redmi 4. Vice President, Xiaomi and Managing Director, Xiaomi India - Manu Kumar Jain took to Twitter and stated the company’s plan to extend its Redmi range of smartphones in the country.

The Redmi 4 sports a 5- inch HD IPS display powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. Just like the Redmi 4A, it is coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, (expandable up to 128GB on a hybrid slot). Coming to the camera, the phone features a 13Mp rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. The device also comes with a 4100mAh battery that supports fast charging and is available in colours variants like gold, silver and dark grey. The smartphone is priced at CNY 699 (approximately Rs 6,900).

The Redmi 4 Prime, aka as Pro, is the high-end smartphone in the Redmi 4 segment. The phone sports a 5-inch FHD IPS display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. It is equipped with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128GB via a hybrid slot). The Redmi 4 Prime comes with a 13-megapixel camera with dual tone LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera. Like the Redmi 4, this device also comes with a 4100mAh battery with a fast charging feature.
