Oppo has launched a new smartphone in India, the R5s. The phone is the successor to the super slim R5, and the new model follows the same design principle.

The R5s is the new "slimmest smartphone" at just 4.85mm thin, taking the title away from Micromax Canvas Sliver and it's 5.1mm body. Aside from that, the R5s has improved specs, now sporting 3GB RAM as compared to 2GB on the R5, and 32GB internal storage instead of 16GB. The other components remain the same with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core, 5.2-inch (1920x1080) display with 423ppi, 13MP f/2.0 rear cam and 5MP front cam. The phone is, unfortunately, powered by a small 2000mAh battery, made to fit the ultra small body. The R5s also still runs on ColorOS 2.0, which is based of Android 4.4.4. You'll also need to use a micro-USB to 3.5mm adaptor if you want to use your headphones on this device.

The phone will be available in India starting today, and (according to the European price listing) will cost approximately Rs 15,200.
