It's finaly here, the long-awaited (and long-teased) OnePlus 2 is finally making an international appearance today. The Chinese company is all set to announce its latest flagship phone at the online VR launch event later today.

The launch event app has made its way to the Google Play store, you can download it here and view the launch in VR with a standard Google Cardboard device, for your 5" phone, or the custom OnePlus Cardboard version for phones with a 5.5" display. If you don't have  a Cardboard yet, you can make one yourself, or buy one from here. But if that's not your style, OnePlus has also buit a 360-degree experience into their launch app, so you don't have to miss out.

Invitations are also on the counter now, with OnePlus offering invites via email for their new smartphone. The company has said that OnePlus owners will be prioritized in August, and they'll receive invites to give out to their friends as well once they purchase the phone so, although you can register for one, it might be a while before an invite reaches you. If you do manage to land an invite, make sure to claim it in your inbox within 24 hours or it expires. And don't forget to add OnePlus.net to your contacts or you might lose your invite to the spam filter.

As the repoorts stand right now, the OnePlus 2 has a Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM, a 13MP camera, USB Type-C and a new fingerprint scanner, all for a price tag of approximately US $450. You can catch the launch event at 7:00pm PT ( 7:30am IST).
