San Francisco-based startup Nextbit is expected to launch their newest smartphone later today. Initially announced on August 12, the new entry is touted to be a "revolutionary" device by its makers.
Nextbit is a very new company, formed by ex-employees of Google, Apple, HTC, and Amazon, and with financial backing from Google Ventures. In an interview with CNET, Nextbit has said the phone "will perform better over time". You can expect the phone to have an optimised UI based on existing Android software, and also to go big on cloud storage, seeing as that was Nextbit's original focus as a startup. While pricing and availability has not yet been stated, the company's head CEO Moss has said the phone will be in the premium range of US $300 - 400. And based on this, their phone has USB Type-C.

I might be reading a little too much into this but, "cloud should do more than just store." Are we talking about cloud-based processing on the smartphone? Because that would make me VERY excited. We'll find out later today.
