If Apple's iPhone 6S and the Plus version is announced in September, it will reportedly have an upgraded 2GB RAM and Apple SIM pre-installed.

Apple had introduced 1 gigabyte RAM with iPhone 5 in 2012. It is expected that iPhone 6S will include memory upgrades just like iPad Air 2 with A8X chips embedded. This additional memory will enable iOS ease with background tasks and users will not need to reload Safari browser again and again.

This is crease in RAM comes with a catch, more memory will take toll on battery life.

Appleinsider says Apple is considering shipping next-gen handsets with Apple SIM pre-installed. This upgrade will allow consumers to sign up with the service provider of their choice. Apple had brought this upgrade with iPAd Air 2 and was met with resistance from wireless carriers. So there is a possibility that handsets purchased from the networks will be locked to the respective networks and those purchased from Apple Stores will be unlocked. Users will have a choice of changing their providers simply via the 'Settings' section.

If Apple follows their usual release schedule, these iPhone models will be announced in September and should be released to public soon after around holiday season.
