New Aston Martin Rapide S unveiled for Rs 4.4 crore

Aston Martin has unveiled the new four door Rapide S, a variant of the Rapide. Priced at Rs. 4.4 crore, this model will replace the existing one currently sold in India. This model is already on sale in Europe and America.

Sandeep Gupta, assistant sales manager at Performance Cars, who are the exclusive Mumbai dealers for Aston Martin, said, "The Rapide S will replace the current Rapide in markets worldwide and it has been priced at Rs. 4.4 crore." Its price has been increased due to the fluctuating exchange rate of the Pound and increased customs duty, which has been raised from 110% to 175%.

Rapide S introduces the all-new Rapide Gen 4 AM11 engine, a sprint time of only 4.9 seconss, 620 Nm of torque and potent power of 558 PS – an increase of more than 17% over their previous model.

The company is targeting around 10-15 customers during its road show in various cities across the nation, Gupta added. Moreover, Aston Martin has also presented the Vantage to the customers of Coimbatore and Tirupur.

Since 2011, the British car-maker has sold 55 units in India and is aiming to sell at least 20 cars in southern India in another year.
