Experts believe that traditional household locks and keys may soon become thing of past, as Apple is reportedly working on a new technology that may allow people to open their locks with iPhone.

Apple stores are already selling the August smart lock, which works with both iPhone and Google's Android phones, which provides a secure way to control access to homes from an app on the device, the Mirror reported.

There' no longer any need for keys and codes; just tap on the phone of tablet can help people to select who enters and who doesn't. Business Insider Magazine stated that, while this technology might look like just a new device and a new app, the implications are far-reaching.
