If you’re the kind of multitasker that’s great at watching Netflix while responding to a ton of emails, you’ll love this--Netflix has just updated its iPad app to now support picture-in-picture mode.

This new multitasking feature will work on all iPads running the latest version of iOS 9, where you can view your Netflix show into a tiny window that floats over your other iPad apps. There is no specific button in the app to launch this feature, but it comes up when you close the Netflix app.

Using this feature will require the latest iOS 9.3.2 as well as the Netflix iOS app version 8.7.0 to be able to access this feature. Also, it will only work with compatible iPad models: the iPad Air or later, iPad mini 2 or later, and the iPad Pro range.

At the recent Apple WWDC event, picture in picture was announced for the new macOS Sierra, which will enable playing videos in iTunes or Safari in a smaller window. It certainly looks like picture-in-picture is the next bandwagon desktop video is jumping on to.
