On Friday, NASA made available every photo ever taken (8,400 images to be exact) by astronauts on Apollo moon missions, on the Project Apollo Archive's Flickr account.
The Apollo astronaut took these pictures with Hasselblad cameras, which have been restored for high-resolution screens. The images give us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the various missions and hundreds of detailed photos of the moon's surface.
While the photos on Flickr document most of the mission, Apollos 7, 8, 9, 10, or 13 have not yet been released. However, media reports NASA will make them available soon. On Facebook, the Project Apollo Archive is also showcasing rare images of Apollo 11 training photos.
Here's a look at just a few of these unique shots.
