Music streaming site Saavn uses Twitter to popularise online radio service

Web and mobile music streaming site Saavn has partnered with social media giant Twitter to launch what the organisation calls a Twitter-powered radio service.

It has been named as @SaavnRadio, and the service is available on its online radio platform, Saavn Radio.

According to Saavn, users can now directly decide programming by tweeting a song request, using the handle @SaavnRadio. If that song is present on the Saavn catalogue, the station shall proceed with playing the song on its online radio station.

Saavn further adds that the requests received from its users shall be updated time-to-time using Twitter India's real-time information network.
