Moto G4 Play smartphone launched in India at Rs 8999; available via Amazon India

The smartphone will compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Le Eco 1S and Samsung Galaxy J lineup.

Motorola launched its Moto G4 Play smartphone in India today at Rs 8999. It will go on sale via Amazon India at 10PM. Customers will need to register to purchase the device. It will be available in black and white color variants.

In terms of specifications, the Moto G4 Play sports a 5-inch display with an HD (720x1280 pixel) resolution. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. It comes equipped with an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the device is equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera and also comes with display flash. The smartphone will also include connectivity options like 4G, 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. It is backed up by a 2,800mAh battery with Quick Charging support as well. The Moto G Play also comes with a water-repellent nano-coating that protects it from accidental spills and splashes.
