Motorola's much awaited and most talked about smartphone Moto G has finally been launched in India. The 8 GB variant is for Rs 12,499 and the 16GB variant for Rs 13,999.

The phone has already been launched in several markets before it has finally reached India and has got a phenomenal response.

The dual SIM Android smartphone comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, Adreno 305 GPU, a 4.5-inch capacitive (1280 x 720 pixels) touch screen, and an edge-to-edge display. The phone comes with changeable rear panels in different colours.

Moto G key specifications
* 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, 329 ppi pixel density
* 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor
* 1GB RAM
* 8GB/ 16GB internal storage
* 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera
* 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0,GPS
* 2070mAh battery
* Dual SIM (GSM + GSM)
* Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat)

The dual-sim phone is exclusively available on e-commerce website Flipkart for 3 weeks. The phone has already been listed on the website, however, there's no information on shipping and availability, yet. The phone was also announced for prebooking on Snapdeal.com yesterday (to be shipped after 3 weeks) and was sold out in just two hours.

The success rate of this phone seems to be very high. It has everything from great form factor, competitive price to a waterproof body. We cannot forget the Android Jelly Bean with a 'guaranteed upgrade' to KitKat. The battery backup for this phone is also decently impressive that lasts upto 24 hours with mixed usage.

Motorola was also recently in the limelight for getting acquired by Lenovo. Hopefully, Moto G will bring back the zing that has been lacking in Motorola's phone devices in the recent years.
