Mobile World Congress: Huawei announces first ever smartwatch

Huawei has reportedly announced its first ever smartwatch in a line of wearable devices at Mobile World Congress (MWC), a report said.

The Huawei watch is expected to be a round Android Wear watch with a 286 ppi, 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen and will be available in gold, silver, and black, reported The Verge.

The watch would feature a heart rate monitor and a 6-axis motion sensor. It would offer 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and will be powered by a Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor. It will pair to any Android phone using Bluetooth LE.

Huawei is expected to roll out the watch in over 20 countries, including most of North America, Europe, and South America. However, exact pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.
