Despite the number of Windows 10 users doubling in the past six months, users still prefer to stay away from the native Edge browser. Now, Microsoft is pulling out all the stops to attract more users.

Microsoft Rewards, announced earlier this week, is a rebranding of Bing Rewards, and will offer rewards to users  for using both the Edge browser and the Bing search engine. Points earned can be redeemed for vouchers and credits for other services like Amazon, Starbucks, Skype, and the premium version of Outlook.com. Unfortunately, the program is currently only available in the US

The catch is that just installing isn’t enough. You’ll have to set Bing as your default search engine to reap the benefits, a tall order when faced with the choice of the more convenient and prolific Google. Microsoft is trying every trick inthe book in an attempt to keep up with the likes of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
