Microsoft has been testing a new app called NewsCast.

According to the Engadget, the app makes a playlist of news story summaries and reads them to the users. The program is created by the Bing team and is meant to make traveling more productive.

NewsCast reportedly uses Bing's text-to-speech program to read out things that last 30 second each. The voice is not as natural as Cortana's. Also, it allows the users to save summaries for later on and also has a feedback button that launches a three-question survey for testers.

The Microsoft Azure Web Sites domain had the app for download, but the download is no longer available.
