Mi is launching their Bluetooth speaker to coincide with Holi. In going with the colorful theme, the speaker will be available in five different colors and will be sold exclusively on 22 March 2016 on Mi.com starting 10AM. Despite its affordable pricing of Rs 1,999, the speaker claims to be designed 'for the true audiophile'.

Apart from Bluetooth pairing with smartphones and tablets, the speaker also has a 3.5mm auxiliary input and features hands-free calling. The speaker shell is crafted using abrasive blasting, along with two coats of anodizing oxide color application, supposedly making for a durable, wear-resistant coating.

At the heart of this speaker is a pair of 36mm NdFeB magnets paired purportedly paired with a Ferrofluid cooling technology and an aluminium alloy diaphragm that aims to contribute to a richer audio experience. The device also integrates a bass radiator for delivering the mids and the low frequencies. Driving these speakers is an Avnera AV3102 amplifier and DAC chip. This setup enables the device to deliver a loud stereo experience of up to 90dbA at half a meter.
