LG to roll out third-gen L-Series Android smartphones

Electronics giant LG is reportedly planning to roll out its third-generation of L-Series Android smartphones at the Mobile World Conference scheduled for later this month.

The trio of mid-range handsets would run on Android 4.4 KitKat and include 1.2Ghz dual-core processors.

According to Cnet, all the three handsets would come in a metallic frame with colorful Quick Window cases, allowing users to see the date and time on the screen without opening the case.

The L90 would include a 4.7-inch display with a 960x540 pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The L70 would include a slightly lesser dimensioned display at 4.5 inches and have either a 5 or an 8-megapixel camera with internal memory of 4GB.

The low-end L40 would have a 3.5-inch 480x320-pixel display, a 3-megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage.

The price of the trio handsets has not been revealed and neither LG has announced when the new handsets would hit the markets.
