LeEco might unveil the successor to the Le2 very soon. According to the rumours, the company is working on the Le 2S which will include the Snapdragon 821 chipset, paired with a massive 8GB RAM.
A report by GizChina points out, the LeEco Le 2S might be the first smartphone to come equipped with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, the device will most likely sport an internal storage of 64GB. In other features, the device will include a 5.5-inch screen with a 2.5D curved panel, along with a single camera design.
In June, LeEco unveiled the Le 2 and the Le Max 2 in India. The Le 2 has been priced at Rs 11,999. The Le Max 2 (4GB RAM/ 32GB in-built storage variant) has been priced at Rs 22,999 while the 6GB RAM/ 64GB in-built storage variant is priced at 29,999.
In terms of specifications, the Le 2 features a 5.5-inch Full HD in-cell display, powered by a 1.8GHz deca-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 3GB of RAM. This smartphone is the first to run on this SoC. It also includes an internal storage of 32GB sans microSD card. It comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera along with an 8MP front facing camera. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the smartphone is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone includes 4G LTE and VoLTE support as well.
On the other hand, the Le Max 2, features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB internal storage options. It comes equipped with a 21MP rear camera along with an 8MP front facing camera. A 3,100mAh battery completes the package.
Most importantly, both devices do not include the standard 3.5mm headset jack. The company has introduced a new audio standard called CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio). This technology uses the USB Type-C connectivity on the device and ensures there is a lossless audio output.
