The anti-virus company has managed to crack the program, and promises to be able to return victims' files.

Anti-virus maker Kaspersky has launched a fix for customers suffering from the CoinVault ransomware, a malware.
According to TechCrunch, CoinVault ransomware is a piece of software that encrypts user's private files and decrypts them when they pay a certain amount of bitcoin to a random wallet. According to Kaspersky, software has been cracked.
To decrypt files, users have to send the bitcoin wallet associated with the ransomware to NoRansom.Kaspersky.com and they will get their files back. Also, to survive such an attack users have to back up their computer.
