As one of ISRO's most expansive missions till date, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch 20 satellites from its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) today at 9:25am. Here’s all you need to know about ISRO’s mission.

1. This mission will mark the thirty-sixth flight of ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle

2. PSLV will launch two types of satellites, the first is India’s Cartosat-2 series which weighs 727.5 kg and while the other 19 are co-passenger satellite that weigh about 560 kg together.

3. ISRO plans to launch the PSLV-C34 from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR in Sriharikota on June 22, 2016 at 09:26am IST.

4. It is estimated that the entire mission will take about 26 minutes.

5. From the 19 co-passenger satellites, one satellite comes from Sathyabama University in Chennai and one comes from the College of Engineering in Pune. The rest come from US, Canada, Germany and Indonesia. The mission would carry LAPAN A3 of Indonesia, BIROS of Germany, SKYSAT GEN 2-1 of US, MVV of Germany among the micro satellites.

6. The PSLV-C34 will be carrying a total payload of 1,288 kg.
