iPhone 7 could be the fastest smartphone ever, reveals benchmark scores

Even though Apple did not share the exact details about the hardware on the iPhone 7 models, benchmark scores have surfaced online which reveal information on the performance of both devices.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the iPhone 7 was put through the AnTuTu benchmark, wherein it scored a whopping 178,397 points. At the moment, the best scoring Android device in the AnTuTu database is the OnePlus 3, with a score of 140,288 points.

On the other hand, a benchmark score that appeared on GeekBench showed the iPhone 7 Plus scoring 3233 points in the single core performance and 5363 in the multi-core performance respectively.

If these benchmarks are accurate, the iPhone 7 models could be the fastest ever smartphones released, almost twice as fast as the Huawei Nexus 6P or Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
