Intex launches a sub-5K 4G smartphone

Intex has outed their Cloud 4G Smart, a budget 4G smartphone priced at Rs 4,999.

The dual-SIM phone is based on a Quad Core 1.5 GHz Cortex A53, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with the possibility to extend this by 32GB using the microSD card interface.

It has a 5-inch 480x854 TFT display (with a 196ppi pixel density,) while the photographic capabilities include a modest 5MP f/2.4 rear camera with HDR and slow motion video capture, and a 2MP front unit. Graphics is handled by a Mali-400 processor which makes it suited to little more than casual gaming. Power is supplied by a 2,000mAH Li-Ion battery.

The phone is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports the cellular bands GSM 900/1800,  WCDMA 900/2100 and 4G LTE (FDD) 1800 and LTE (TDD) 2300. Note that the absence of support of some bands make it unsuitable for international roaming use in geographies such as the US.
