Photo and video-sharing app Instagram has added two new editing tools. According to the CNET, Facebook-owned Instagram added a color tool and fade tool to its Android and iOS apps.

The color tool lets users tint the highlights or shadows in various colors; yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, cyan or green. Just tap on the "Shadows or Highlights" button below the image, then tap to choose a color. Users can select one color for shadows and a different color for highlights, and also adjust the intensity of the tint.

Like Instagram filters and other editing tools, users can see the original, to compare it against their edits, by tapping on the image. The fade tool, meanwhile, lets users bring a quiet tone to their photos by softening colors. To control the amount of fade the tool has a simple slider.
