Instagram has been focusing quite a bit on videos in the recent past, with users now able to see how many views their video got, as well as being able to record 60-second clips.

Now, Instagram is going further, rolling out a revamped Explore tab with more than just the single video banner. They've added a new suggested videos queue called "Videos You Might Like", that collects clips from across the app's global community, the team said in a blog post. "As you scroll through the Explore grid, you may also see 'Featured' channels filled with videos on specific topics."

However, the team is quick to say that this new look doesn't change how Explore works, it merely shows you videos related to others you might have watched, from users you haven't yet interacted with. As you "like" more and more videos, Explore learns more about your preferences and populates your personalised channel. And, of course, you can also tell Instagram when you don't like a video it suggested and the app learns from that too.

For now, the new Explore tab is only available in the US, but it'll roll out to the rest of the world soon.
