India's first women-centric app Matchify has crossed 1 lakh downloads in the first few weeks of launch.

The app, which aims at finding serious and meaningful relationships, was launched on April 6th this year, and has already seen nearly 2,00, 000 swipes till now.

Business Head, Sai Chithra, said that "it has been an amazing journey, but it's just the beginning although we've already been hearing success stories from members who've met through Matchify. The response has been fantastic and we're looking to get more members sign up in the coming weeks. Special focus is on women for whom cool privacy features are built-in.'

The free app has an easy sign up process via Facebook Connect. Fully aware of the privacy need of members, there is thrust on security features. For instance hiding profile from Facebook friends or showing only initials etc, trust badges and phone verification with extensive screening of profiles. Interestingly, women can directly initiate a chat, while men can do only on mutual like.

Amazing upcoming features including anonymous chat and real time ice breakers will give more control to the women. iOS app is currently work in progress and Windows app is on the cards.

Encouraged by the fantastic response, Matchify is all set to give new thrust to its marketing initiatives.
