The hackers, who went on an overdrive starting August 31, 2014, have still been releasing previously unreleased nude photographs of celebrities. As the popular social networking site Reddit, where the leaks were previously shared, has taken action by banning subreddits (threads) like The Fappening, these photos and videos have been popping up in many different places over the Internet.

What the celebrities have to say

It is extremely sad and unfortunate that the rights of so many women were violated by the unauthorized release of private photographs. This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy. In addition, while I understand that the public desires more information regarding the allegations against me, I continue to maintain my innocence against these charges. And, once all the facts come to light and the legal process is concluded, I am confident that I will be fully exonerated.
-Hope Solo, US National Soccer Team goalkeeper said via a Facebook Post

"It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures.
I can't help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.
For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes - We send our love, support and prayers. We have done nothing wrong."
- Gabrielle Union, American actress and former model said via a statment to TMZ

"I'm definitely in shock... saddened for every one who is experiencing this... but I choose not to give the person responsible my power... At the end of the day, we all know these pictures were for my husband. And at the end of the day evidently we all know how I feel about my titties. That's all I've got folks. Oh yeah and for everyone who's reposting the leaked nudes? You should be ashamed of yourself... You have a blessed day now."
- Meagan Good, American film and television actress said via Instagram

Celebrities who have been hacked again

These celebrities haven't commented on their new leaks but made comments on their previous leaks -

"Who doesn't want to protect their own privacy? Just because you're in the spotlight or just because you're an actor or make films doesn't mean you're not entitled to your own personal privacy. No matter what the context, when that is sieged in some way it feels unjust, it feels wrong." - Scarlett Johansson

"I think it's a wake-up call for people to make sure they have every privacy setting. It seems like there are a lot of people that love to spend their time hacking peoples' information and that's just a scary thing." Kim Kardashian told BBC Radio

Jennifer Lawrence finally speaks about "The Fappening" to Vanity Fair

"I was just so afraid. I didn't know how this would affect my career. Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this, It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world. "
"Every single thing that I tried to write made me cry or get angry. I started to write an apology, but I don't have anything to say I'm sorry for. I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he's going to look at you."
"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime,""It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That's why these Web sites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. I just can't imagine being that detached from humanity. I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside."
"Anybody who looked at those pictures, you're perpetuating a sexual offense. You should cower with shame. Even people who I know and love say, 'Oh, yeah, I looked at the pictures.' I don't want to get mad, but at the same time I'm thinking, I didn't tell you that you could look at my naked body."

Without even getting hacked

Amber Rose released her own nude photo before anybody made an attempt to hack her.
"Well before anyone tries to hack me I figured I'd release a brand new pic of how I actually look from the back. It's only right... Enjoy" she says

Snappening?

After the iCloud hack, hackers have targetted Snapchat hacking nude Snapchat images and uploading them, while threatening to upload more.

As per the information available now, the hack does not compromise Snapchat itself instead compromises a third party application that is most likely used to store images and screenshots without the senders knowledge.

Snapchat says that the hack is not thier fault as it explicitly states that it is prohibited in thier Terms of Use precisely because of things like this.

This is what they said in a statement -
"We can confirm that Snapchat's servers were never breached and were not the source of these leaks. Snapchatters were victimized by their use of third-party apps to send and receive Snaps, a practice that we expressly prohibit in our Terms of Use precisely because they compromise our users' security. We vigilantly monitor the App Store and Google Play for illegal third-party apps and have succeeded in getting many of these removed."
