To achieve its vision of becoming the largest preschooler fun-learning apps library in the apps world, Hyderabad-based start-up Bulbulapps has announced a partnership with UK’s Knowledgemotion. They will develop and deliver categorised and contextualised kid-friendly educational video and app content to children below the age of eight years.

The agreement, being the first in India, has given boclips.com access to Bulbulapps' bank of 55 and growing free and premium collection of child-friendly educational library. They will add on these to their list of curated video clips, spanning all key stages, subjects and topics in the curriculum. Bulbulapps now joins boclips.com's list of leading international content owners including Getty Images, Bloomberg, BBC Worldwide Learning, Associated Press Television News, SNTV, Global ImageWorks and British Movietone, that give boclips access to up to two million video clips.

Prakash Dantuluri, Founder and CEO of Bulbulapps, said, "We see great possibilities by being part of the premium content offering by Knowledgemotion. Our content is generating lot of  excitement within the preschool communities. Our vision is to eliminate all the barriers between the storyteller and the marketplace. A partnership with Bo fits perfectly in that journey."

Knowledgemotion’s platform offers scale and enormous choice for Bulbulapps multimedia content that is perfect for the parent-child and teacher-student and will translate passive viewing to active learning. "Being there is perfect for us," Prakash added.

Research over the years and recent studies show that a well-designed mobile-first media can promote active cognitive processing in kids and that’s the foundation of Bulbulapps. "Jointly with Bo, we will  be able to access to high-quality material which is currently either unavailable or difficult to find. This can be shared and used at home in a consumer-friendly language," explained Prakash.

David Bainbridge co-founder of Knowledgemotion said,"This is a win-win partnership for both boclips and Bulbulapps. Every day we notice multi-media content across multiple mediums that brilliantly brings to life the topics our children are studying in schools. Bo allows publishers to discover, license and use a growing library of video, all in one place.”

Bulbulapps.com had raced past 300k downloads across app platforms in just over five  months. It offers interactive, beautifully illustrated stories, sing-along rhymes, kids travel and engaging puzzles in a single library app and videos for children aged eight years and below children in English, Hindi and Telugu. Their website content is engaging and it is derivative from their understanding and study of over a million downloads and an active and growing user base of 60000+ users.

Currently, Bulbulapps follows a free and a premium model. The company believes it has the greatest potential for reach and social impact providing the offer is seen as sufficiently valuable by teachers and students.
