India became the first country to be successful on its maiden Mars mission on Wednesday. Within minutes of entering the Red Planet's orbit, ISRO's Mars Orbiter was on Twitter nonchalantly giving updates on its journey.
What is red, is a planet and is the focus of my orbit? pic.twitter.com/HDRWjOcPus

While we can expect the Orbiter's Twitter account to keep us in the loop on its mission, it looks like the Mars Orbiter will also provide followers with some cheeky humour.
I’ll be back after breakfast. Good ol’ sunlight. It’s good for your battery.

Even as ISRO accepted congratulations from NASA on its mission's success, the Mars Orbiter was already in conversation with NASA's rover Curiosity on Twitter.
Howdy @MarsCuriosity ? Keep in touch. I'll be around.

In its first few hours the Mars Orbiter already had over 35,000 followers at the time of writing. The Orbiter, however, is just following @MarsRover and @MarsCuriosity as of now, both accounts belonging to NASA's rovers that are on Mars' surface.
The Mars Orbiter Mission is India's first interplanetary mission. It was launched on November 5, 2013 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh with the powerful Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). The mission was approved by the Indian government in August 2012 and was executed at a cost of Rs 450 crore ($74 million).
