On November 6, Thursday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg responded to questions by his fans in a first public Q&A session on Facebook.

Eight years ago, the custom of Q&A interactions started at Facebook with employees and the CEO coming up with new ideas that would benefit the company. This November, the global public was allowed for the first time in the Facebook tradition to interact and ask their doubts to the entrepreneur, Mark Zuckerberg.

Here are some important as well as funny questions that the 30-year-old CEO answered to:

Why download a separate Messenger app?

According to Zuckerberg, the messenger app makes chatting process quicker. Earlier, due to the main app containing the messenger, the messages were delivered late. They were buried behind several tabs. Over 10 billion users chat and send message to their friends daily. So Facebook thought it deserved 'its own full-fledged experience' and hence launched the messenger. He remarked that the messenger app was a better experience. But in the end, Zuckerberg admitted that the team did not handle it smoothly in terms of transitions.

"My goal was never to make Facebook cool. I am not a cool person."

On one of the audience's comments stating that Facebook is losing its charm, Mark explained that his motive is to maintain the central aspect of Facebook. It is meant for facilitating communication and connections. He mentioned that this aspect is as regular and practical in your daily life application as switching on a light bulb or turning on a water faucet which is never 'cool'.

An average user sees only 10% of his/her stories via the News Feed

Zuckerberg pointed out that an average user sees only 100 posts out of 1,500 stories everyday on NewsFeed. The percentage of Facebook pages reach their audience is decreasing because of the users sharing more content and subscribing to more pages that promote more content. A person spends limited time seeing at the screen and not everyone sees everything posted by Facebook. Due to the time consumption to view the content shared, competition slots are raising.

What can be done to increase the number of women in tech?

Zuckerberg said that it is everyone's responsibility to support women in fields of science, math, technology, engineering. It has to be started from the initial stage so that young girls are motivated. There are less women in tech due to the lack of role models and this results into a cyclical problem.

Why does the Facebook creator wear the same grey T-shirt everyday?

We see the young billionaire in his same grey coloured t-shirt may it be a conference or an informal visit. Does he have more copies of the same shirt? Mark, with a laugh revealed that he has more copies of the same T-shirt and he also gave a reason to it. He said that something as wearing his the same clothes speaks about 'our duty to the community'. He said he takes as much less decisions as he can so that that he can focus more on developing Facebook.“I don’t feel like I’m doing my job if I spend any of my time on anything silly or frivolous in my life.”

Mark Zuckerberg on November 7, Friday, posted an update about his experience with the audience on his Facebook Timeline along with the fun clip of whether he wears the same shirt everyday.
