Hash Cube raises Rs 4.2 crore investment from publishers for Quest series

Nazara Technologies Announces the First Investment from its Game Fund in Bangalore Based Mobile Gaming Start-up HashCube
 
Mobile game developer and publisher, Nazara Technologies, has announced a sizeable investment in Bangalore-based cross platform casual gaming startup Hashcube. The company has contributed to HashCube's Rs 4.2 crore total in this round, including cheques from Perry LaForge, Ah! Ventures Indian Angel Network and Blume Ventures. 

This is Nazara's first investment from its Rs 10 crore Game Fund which aims to support young mobile gaming startups. Through this fund, the company plans to invest in promising early stage gaming studios with investments ranging anywhere from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 2 crore. Over and above the cash drop, Nazara will also work closely with Hashcube in guiding them through development of the upcoming games in their Quest series, the first of which was Sudoku Quest. Additionally, Nazara says it will also deploy its distribution networks to market these games globally.
