Google will now host a gaming festival in San Francisco on September 24. The company will focus on independent developers who build apps on its Android operating system.

The company said in a blog post, “if you’re an indie game developer, you know that games are a powerful medium of expression of art, whimsy, and delight. Being on Google Play can help you reach over a billion users and build a successful, global business. That’s why we recently introduced programs, like the Indie Corner, to help more gamers discover your works of art.”

Google will accept submissions till August 14 and will decide which games will be presented at the conference. Residents based in the US or Canada can participate and will need to publish their games on the Google Play Store.

Google will then showcase 30 games and three winners will be chosen. Some of the prizes to be won are Tango devices, free tickets for Google I/O 2017 and Google ad campaign support.
