According to Android Police, Google Photo’s next update will include a few new upgrades and features, as well as a special bonus for Nexus users.

The website’s teardown of the Google Photos APK popped up a line that reads, “Unlimited free storage for original quality photos and videos uploaded from your Nexus device." That’s a huge plus for Nexus owners, seeing as they’re currently somewhat limited in the storage department. In addition, Google Photos also has a 1920x1080p maximum resolution for photo and video, and 16MB maximum size for images.

More space could mean that limit is removed, allowing you to save files on a Nexus at original size. While that’s not necessarily a big deal now, it’s important to remember that the top-end Nexus 5X and 6P can shoot 4K video, and that capability will spread to other models as time goes on.

In addition, there's likely to be new sorting features, including collaborative albums, as well as new exposure and contrast editing features.
