Google launches election portal in India

The leading search engine Google has set up an election portal which will cover news information and videos related to all kind of elections in India. The portal can be accessed at http://www.google.co.in/elections/ed/in

The portal would also provide information on political parties, their campaigns and agencies like Election Commission and Association of Democratic Reforms. The portal would stream news reported by all big media houses in Hindi and English both.

"Election portal will serve as a one-stop destination to help voters get answers to their elections and voting-related queries to make an informed decision," Google said in official blog.

In the first phase of the launch, the portal is set to cover elections of Delhi, MP, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Rajasthan.
