Google Doodle pays tribute to William Shakespeare and St. George

Another masterpiece by Google Doodle honouring the legends, William Shakespeare, and St. George.

Saint George's Day is the feast day of Saint George, the patron saint of England and famous for slaying a dragon. This day is celebrated by many Christians Churches in various nations. Along with St. George Day's today we also embrace Shakespeare's 400th death anniversary.

Shakespeare wrote around 38 plays in his 52 years of life, out of which some can be spotted in the Doodle.

He was known as England's National Poet and also "Bard of Avon". Shakespeare composed most of his known work between 1589 and 1613. His initial plays were comedies and histories, and then he mainly wrote tragedies until about 1608, including Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, and Macbeth, are considered some of the finest works in the English language.

Shakespeare's work has made an impression on theatre and literature, giving way to some inspiring work and performances from later generations till date, which will always sustain.
