The first few days of Gamescom 2016 have provided a bevy of action-oriented trailers for games due late this year or soon after, including these seven big titles which run from imminent release "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" through "Watch Dogs 2" and a "South Park" sequel to the slicey, dicey "For Honor" set for Valentine's Day 2017.

Gears of War 4
Bigging up both the game and the improved capabilities of the recently released Xbox One S (Gamescom trailer), this 10-minute, 4k-capable demo takes viewers through a level's worth of monsters, team banter, and cover-based shooting. Due October 11 on Xbox One and Windows PC.
Injustice 2
Capitalizing on interest around $480m+ movie "Suicide Squad," superpowered fighting game "Injustice 2" profiles the sort of battering players can expect to deal or be dealt through Harley Quinn and Deadshot. From the makers of "Mortal Kombat." On PS4, Xbox One, iOS and Android in 2017.

Running and hiding from a sinister presence that stalks an old plantation house in a slice from January 2017's survival horror, presented in the sort of "found footage" format favoured by recently-revealed feature film sequel "Blair Witch."
