A fitness guru who apparently expressed her disapproval of growing acceptance of obesity after reading an article in The Daily Mail showing obese women in lingerie, reportedly found her Facebook account suspended temporarily over her comments deemed as ‘hate speech’

Maria Kang, mother of three young kids, created a media firestorm weeks ago for posing with her toned abs in a pro-exercise photo with the caption, ‘what’s your excuse?.

According to Washington Times, after reading the article in the newspaper, Kang took to Facebook to express her frustration with the growing acceptance of unhealthy habits

She posted that the popular and unrelenting support received to those who are borderline obese frustrates her as a fitness advocate who intimately understands how poor health negatively effects a family, a community and a nation

Within three hours of the post getting viral, Facebook removed it and suspended Kang’s account, which she said was considered ‘hate speech’ by the site

However, Facebook soon restored her account and apologized citing it was mistakenly removed and now Kang’s access to her account has been fully restored

Kang returned to her reinstated Facebook page with a message, saying ‘Sorry but not sorry’, the report added.
