Firefox 34 launched today with a couple of noteworthy new features.

Firstly, the browser update incorporates a Mozilla-customised version of Yahoo as the default search tool. Definitely a strange move from Firefox, one that will probably have its users switching their default browser search back to Google anyway. And that's only for North America. In addition to that, people in the Russian subcontinental area have Yandex on their Firfox browser now. Is this Mozilla's attempts to "go local" or just something much more ridiculous?

Mozilla has also incorporated Firefox Hello, its Javascript-powered chat tool, into the browser update, allowing Firefox users to chat with each other within the browser itself. However, the feature won't be available to everyone, as Mozilla has restrained most users' access to it to avoid overloading their servers.
