Facebook is trying to recapture the exclusivity of its earlier dayss, with a new app aimed solely at teenagers.

Called Lifestage, the iOS app is a video journal of sorts, where you answer questions about yourself on your profile with short recorded clips instead of text. Other users can see view your profile, and everytime one of your friends updates their page, you’ll see a notification in your feed.

The interesting thing here, is that you can only use the app if you’re under 21 years old.

Designed by entrepreneur and app developer Michael Sayman, Lifestage designed to emulate the exclusivity of Facebook when it was first open to only US college students, according to TechCrunch. When you join, you have to enter your age and school (which you aren’t able to switch later). If you’re 22 or older, you can view your own profile but not others, and can’t contact other users either.

It’s not yet clear how the app plans to police its “teens-only” policy, but it will reportedly feature a number of ways to block and report others, in a way to help the teens on the platform keep nosy parents out
