DataWind has launched a new tablet that includes a free Internet package.
DataWind, The wireless web access products and service developer founded in Montreal Canada has unveiled their latest gadget, the PC 7SC tablet at a retail price of Rs. 2,999. DataWind manufactures low cost tablets for the purpose of education in developing countries. The developers of the PocketSurfer Series Smartphones and the UbiSurfer range of Netbooks have expanded their enterprise to Tablets with their latest launch.
The tablet comes with free internet access for one year provided by Reliance Communications (Rcom) and Telenor Networks.

DataWind has partnered with DEN Snapdeal TV-Shop for an exclusive deal to sell the PC 7SC tablet on the 24x7 commerce TV channel.
The new tablet by DataWind is said to reduce bandwidth consumption by factors of 10x to 30x, allowing the delivery of web pages on congested GPRS networks in 5 to 7 seconds with even faster speeds on 3G and 4G networks.
The DataWind Tablet 7SC has a screen size of 17.78 display resolution of (800x480 or 52.47ppi). It also comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory (expandable upto 32GB) and a 1.3Ghz Single core processor by Media Core. The tablet comes equipped with a 2400mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4.2.
