A British professional boxer has been fined 3,000 pounds and told to behave himself by boxing officials following his regular foul-mouthed tirades both on Twitter and in the open
Tyson Fury has been ordered by the British Boxing Board of Control to control his ravings and rantings on Twitter and had fined him as a warning, the Daily Star reports.
The extremely tall Morecambe heavyweight, who edges closer to a crack at world No.1 Wladimir Klitschko, has however, accepted his punishment and said that it is time for him to stop his tirades on Twitter
Admitting that he is outspoken, Fury, who is due to leave for America this week in preparation for his April 20 US debut against American Steve Cunningham at the Madison Square Garden Theatre, said that although people like outspoken people, he is in danger of losing more than 3,000 pounds if he disregards his warnings
Fury further said that the board has been more than lenient with him and it is only a hefty fine that he will be getting.
