Apple starts selling refurbished iPhones on Apple Store

Apple starts selling refurbished iPhones on its official website. The smartphones will be available at a discount of 15 percent off its original price. Previously, Apple only offered deals on refurbished MacBooks, iPads, routers and Apple TVs.

The offer extends to three variants of the iPhone 6s models: 16GB for $449 (Approximately Rs 30,000),  64GB for $589 (Approximately Rs 40,000) and 16GB for $529 (Approximately Rs 35,000).

The refurbished iPhone 6s smartphones will comes with one-year warranty and are available in Rose Gold, Space Grey, Silver and Gold.

Even though these smartphones are refurbished, it will come with a new battery and outer shell. The smartphones, available on Apple store will be unlocked and SIM-free, meaning that users can use the mobile service provider of their choice.

Sadly, the option to purchase refurbished iPhones may never be available in India (at least through the official Apple Store) as the Indian government earlier denied Apple’s offer to sell refurbished smartphones in India.
