Apple's upcoming iWatch will have multiple designs and more than ten sensors, according to reports.

The smartwatch will include over ten sensors, where some sensors will be dedicated to track users' health and fitness, Wall Street Journal reported.

According to one source Apple was planning to address an overarching criticism of existing smart watches that they failed to provide functions significantly different from that of a smartphone.

Ming-chi Kuo, the well-connected analyst at KGI Securities said that he expected Apple to launch multiple smartwatches that come with different designs as watches were fashion accessories and one design did not fill all.

Apple's iWatch is likely to feature a 2.5-inch screen, wireless charging, and a heart sensor.

Smartwatch might also feature a curved OLED display work with the new health-focused software in iOS 8, and might launch in October.
