After barely two days of Apple’s iPad Air launch, the market analysts are apparently expecting more out of the tech giant, with some speculating an ‘iPad Pro’ model to succeed the latest innovation.
Market researchers have said that the decision to swerve the ‘iPad 5’ mark for ‘iPad Air’ was a sure sign that a bigger and more powerful iPad could soon be on the horizon.
RW Bair analyst Will Power said that the name change is likely intentional, adding that developing an iPad that is better designed for productivity is something that could very well make sense, Mashable reports.
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster also seemed to agree, as he said that any such ‘iPad Pro’ would be designed for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.
The report added that any follow-up models are sure to have the 64-bit A7 CPU as in the iPad Air, with speculations about a 12-inch display and a new Touch Cover-style keyboard folio.
