Lenovo today announced two devices from their popular Yoga multi-mode product series, which were announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in early Jan this year: the Windows 10 based Yoga 900 ultrabook and the Yoga Tab 3 Pro 10.1-inch tablet with inbuilt projector. We spent some time with these two devices earlier today and had a chance to examine them up close.

The Yoga 900 is a 13.3-inch laptop that touts their famous ‘watch band’ hinge, enabling the device to be set up in various modes of use, including as a tent, a stand, a tablet and a conventional laptop. standout feature is undoubtedly the ultra-thin form factor--at just 0.59-inches--and feather weight 1.29Kg.

Another distinctive feature is that intricate watch band hinge that keeps the device oriented in all manner of screen orientations: open it as a conventional laptop, rotate it farther back and it props on a tabletop with the lower half acting like a kickstand, rest it on its edges like a tent for desktop presentations using the touchscreen, or fold the screen entirely back on itself to use it as a tablet.

Composed of nearly 800 individual parts, that hinge looks especially appealing with its jewel-like craftsmanship. Despite the svelte styling, the laptop is hefty on specs with a 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of SSD storage, a QHD+ (3200x1800) touchscreen display, built-in JBL stereo speakers and Dolby Audio for sound that belies its size. The laptop will be available at Croma retail stores, in select Lenovo Exclusive Stores and in the official Lenovo online store priced at Rs 1,22,090.

Look out for our hands on with the Yoga Tab 3 Pro coming up shortly.
