The much awaited iPhone 5 will finally hit India today. Apple's India partner Redington confirmed that the iPhone 5 will retail at Rs45,500 (16GB), Rs52,500 (32GB) and Rs59,500 (64GB).
While the iPhone 5's going price in the US was $649 (Rs34,830) for the 16GB version, $749 (Rs40,195) for 32GB version and $849 (Rs45,560) for the 64GB, in view of the lack of compatible networks in India, a basic upgrade for the 16 GB variant will cost Rs45,500. The price will get higher with model and storage capacity.
As its pricing is not way off from predecessor iPhone 4S, the iPhone 5 is unlikely to cause major outrage over pricing.
