Former co-op minister loses GSCCFL election

The former cooperative minister and BJP heavyweight CD Patel lost the Gujarat State Cooperative Consumer Federation Ltd (GSCCFL) election for the post of director.

Election was conducted for two posts of directors of B division of the cooperative body, and in the fray were three candidates. Kantibhai Patel of Kheda District Agro Producers and Processors Cooperative Union and Pannaben Patel of the Kalol Mahila Grahak Sahakari Bhandar Ltd emerged as winners with 47 and 39 votes respectively. On the other hand, CD Patel of Sojitra Taluka Shakari Kharid-Vechan Sangh Ltd could procure only 31 votes.
