A 16-year-old boy, arrived at the Hyderabad airport from US, was quarantined on Thursday at the Chest Hospital for suspected A(H1N1) flu, a senior doctor of the hospital said.

The teenager when examined by the medical team at the airport found that he was suffering from soar throat, fever and cold and was sent to Chest Hospital for suspected swine flu, Dr S V Prasad, Superintendent, Chest Hospital, said.

"He has been quarantined and put on treatment. His swab samples have also been sent to the National Institute of Communicable Disease (NICD) and the reports are awaited," Prasad said.

Two persons have tested positive for the flu in Andhra Pradesh so far and both are being treated at the Chest hospital, he said.

Both these patients have been put on anti-viral drug Oseltamivir, he said, adding that their condition is stable and satisfactory, he said.

Asked whether the problems of cough and cold getting common during the monsoon season would result in the spread of the disease further, Prasad said, "There was no cause for worry as it has not spread among the community so far and has caught only people coming from abroad from the affected areas."
