Former President APJ Abdul Kalam uttered these words in Gujarati while addressing children at Bal Bhavan on Wednesday after inaugurating Dr Ashok Mehta Arts & Science Centre, a newly-built complex of Bal Bhavan here. On his third visit to the city, he also visited Satya Sai Heart Hospital to inaugurate its second operation theatre.
Kalam exhorted children to think big and work hard. He asked them to remember: “I can do it, we can do it, India will do it.”

India will become a superpower by 2020, said Kalalm, adding that for that youth need to excel in their education. Referring to great figures across the world, like Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Einstein and Charles Darwin, Kalam stated: “Knowledge makes one great.” He said parents and teachers play a crucial role in the life of children,
The new two-storied building housing the arts and science centre is built over 55,000 square yards. “The building, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs3.50 crore, has an entrance lounge, administrative wing, conference hall, activity workshops and classrooms for different activities like drama, paintings, handicrafts, seminars, computers, science, museum, art gallery and library”, said  Balendu Vaghela of Bal Bhavan.  There is a mini museum of marine life also.
A number of political leaders, including Vajubhai Vala, mayor Sandhya Vyas and social workers like Mansukh Joshi, Indubhai Vora, Dr Ashok Mehta and donors like Dipchand Gardi remained present at the event.
Kalam also visited the Satya Sai Heart Hospital to inaugurate the second operation theatre on Wednesday. He visited various divisions of the hospital and met a few patients.
He asked the hospital staff to welcome patients with smile and to add to their confidence.
In his short speech at the hospital, Kalam referred to a book and asked doctors to adopt udaarta (big-heartedness), nitimatta (values in deeds), sahansheelta (endurance), khant (hard work), ekagrata (concentration) and buddhimatta (intellectualism).
