Minor boys held for harassing girl

Even as the dust of a college student kissing a girl on the polytechnic campus is yet to settle down, another incident of an eve teasing surfaced in the city on Saturday. The police arrested the two boys who had been harassing the girl for over six months.

According to details, the girl saw the two boys near Kameshwar School gate around 10.45 am on Saturday. The girl, a class XI student, had come to the school to collect the exam admission receipt. The girl is a resident of Vastrapur area.

"The girl came to the school with her parents. When she saw the two boys, she informed her parents,'' said school principal Jagdish Bhavsar.

The girl's father lodged a complaint at Satellite police station. The police later arrested the two minor boys.

According to sub inspector IJ Patel, all the three were studying together till tenth standard and later the two boys went for a vocational course while the girl continued her class XI studies.

Sources at Satellite police station said that the girl was being harassed by the two boys over phone as well as in public places. The girl had earlier informed her parents and school authorities about this. "The girl was harassed so much by the two boys that she had even stopped going out from her house," the police sources said.

The police will produce the boys in the juvenile court. The Satellite police was investigating the case.
