Woman found dead in employer's house in Delhi

A 50-year-old housemaid was on Sunday found dead at her employer's residence in south Delhi under mysterious circumstances with police suspecting the role of another domestic help, who is missing, in the incident.

The body of Rambeti, a resident of Chattarpur, was found in a vacant room in the third floor of her employer Devendra Kumar Jain's residence in Green Park this morning, a senior police officer said, adding she was employed three days ago and used to leave for her home in the evening.

However, she did not return home on Saturday and her family had been searching for her.
    
Their searches ended this morning when Rambeti's body was found in Jain's residence.
    
"The body was found in the third floor of Jain's residence. It is not clear whether it is a murder or suicide. We are awaiting post mortem report," the officer said.

Meanwhile, he said, Chetan, a 20-year-old domestic help in Jain's household, is missing since the incident.
    
Chetan is a resident of Bahraich and efforts are on to trace him.
    
"We have some suspicion about Chetan as he is missing. We are investigating the matter," the officer said.
    
A case has been registered.
